Wood Ranch’s Chopped BBQ chicken salad.

With a name like Wood Ranch BBQ and Grill, you’d expect the burgers and other meat dishes to be A+. Unfortunately, we’re not a big fan of Wood Ranch’s tri-tip or ribs (at least at the Valencia location), but we are huge fans of their salads. Yep. Their greens rule. We add salmon or chicken to the selections without meat.

Our favorites include some of their more simple offerings:

  • Grilled Vegetable Salad: Chopped asparagus, zucchini, squash, eggplant, red peppers, corn, feta crumbles, romaine and balsamic.
  • BBQ Chopped Salad: Lettuce mix, fresh white corn, black beans, tortilla strips, Monterey jack, scallions, tomatoes, cilantro, ranch dressing, BBQ sauce.
  • House Salad: Fresh white corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, rustic croutons.

One caveat, eating these dishes aren’t cheap. The large grilled vegetable salad with salmon will set you back about $18, but it’s worth the splurge on occasion.
